AYA was a mid-90s analogue-synth-based dark electronica music project that was a precursor to the E.L.F.; both being sibling projects of EYE.

AYA was associated with Clan Analogue Canberra - aka CLANBERRA - and was featured on numerous radio shows, in media publications, on compilation CD albums and performed live many times including at the 1996 Sydney Big Day Out as part of "CLANBERRA". See below links for more details.

This original version of the track "Rituals" was recorded in 1996; it's probably the earliest-recorded track on these "Electricity" collections.

It was however initially titled "The Bions" and was released on some compilation CD albums as that. This "analogue" version features a (real) TB-303 synth-bass.

This piece was inspired by the music made as part of the "Clanberra" live performance at the 1996 Sydney Big Day Out music festival.

Later versions of this track - performed live under the artist title "ELF" or "E.L.F." - employed a digital synth to produce the bass lines.
